Video and Audio

Video and audio files are supported as attachments. Some formats may be previewed in the chat; others require download to play.

File size limits apply. Larger files may be rejected. Check with your administrator for your organization's limits.

How to Attach Files

Method 1: Paperclip Icon

Click the paperclip icon in the message input area. A file picker opens—select one or more files from your device. They are attached to your message. Press Enter or click Send to deliver.

Method 2: Drag and Drop

Drag a file from your file manager or desktop and drop it onto the chat input area. The file is attached automatically. Add a message if you like, then send.

You can drag multiple files at once. Each will be added as an attachment.

Emoji Picker

Add emoji to your messages using the emoji picker:

  1. Click the smiley face icon in the message input area.
  2. Browse or search for emoji by category or name.
  3. Click an emoji to insert it into your message.

Emoji appear inline in the conversation and are supported by most clients.

Add animated GIFs to your messages:

  1. Click the GIF button in the message input area.
  2. Search the Tenor library by keyword (e.g., "thumbs up", "celebrate").
  3. Click a GIF to insert it into your message.

GIFs are displayed inline and play automatically when visible.

File Size and Limits

  • Size limits — Maximum file size varies by deployment. Very large files may fail to upload.
  • Rate limits — Your administrator may limit how many files you can send in a given period.
  • Allowed types — Some organizations restrict file types for security. If a file type is blocked, you'll see an error when uploading.

If you need to share large files regularly, consider using your organization's file sharing or cloud storage alongside CrystalQore.
