Compose & Send Email

CrystalQore's email composer supports new messages, replies, reply-all, and forwards with rich-text formatting, file attachments, contact suggestions, signatures, and templates.

Composing a New Email

Click Compose — Click the compose button (pencil icon) in the email module. A compose dialog opens.

Select the sending account — If you have multiple email accounts, choose which account to send from. Your default account is pre-selected.

Add recipients — Enter email addresses in the To field, separated by commas or semicolons. As you type (2+ characters), CrystalQore suggests matching contacts from your directory.

Add Cc / Bcc — Expand the Cc and Bcc fields if you need to copy or blind-copy additional recipients.

Enter a subject — Type the email subject line.

Write your message — Use the rich-text editor to compose your email. The editor supports:

FormattingHow
BoldSelect text and click B or press Ctrl+B
ItalicSelect text and click I or press Ctrl+I
LinkSelect text and click the link icon, then enter the URL

Click Send — Your message is sent via the selected account.

Replying and Forwarding

Reply

Click Reply on an open message. The compose dialog opens pre-filled with:

  • The original sender in the To field
  • The subject prefixed with Re:
  • The original message quoted below your reply

Reply All

Click Reply All to reply to the sender and all other recipients (To and Cc). All addresses are pre-filled.

Forward

Click Forward to send the message to someone new. The subject is prefixed with Fwd: and the original message is quoted. Original attachments are not automatically included — re-attach them if needed.

Reply and Reply All maintain email threading. Your email client and recipients' clients will group them as a conversation.

Attachments

Add files to your email using drag-and-drop or the attachment button.

  1. Click the paperclip icon in the compose toolbar, or drag files into the compose area
  2. Selected files appear as a list below the editor with file names and sizes
  3. Click the X next to a file to remove it before sending

Total attachment size is limited to 25 MB per email. If you need to send larger files, use the Files module and share a link instead.

Using Signatures

If you have email signatures configured:

  1. Click the Signature dropdown in the compose toolbar
  2. Select a signature from the list
  3. The signature HTML is inserted at the cursor position (typically at the bottom of your message)

Your default signature (if set) may be auto-inserted on new messages depending on your settings.

Using Templates

If you have email templates configured:

  1. Click the Template dropdown in the compose toolbar
  2. Select a template
  3. The template's subject and body are applied to your current compose window

Applying a template replaces the current subject and body content. Save your work before applying if you've already started composing.

Contact Suggestions

When typing in the To, Cc, or Bcc fields, CrystalQore searches your contact directory after you've typed at least 2 characters. Matching contacts appear in a dropdown — click one to add it as a recipient.

After opening a message in the viewer, you have several actions beyond reply and forward:
