Configuring Settings
CrystalQore settings let you customize notifications, audio, video, display, keyboard shortcuts, and privacy. Access settings via the header avatar menu or the Settings item in the sidebar.
Opening Settings
- Click your avatar in the header bar
- Select Settings (or use the Settings item in the sidebar)
Settings are organized into tabs: Notifications, Audio, Video, Display, Keyboard Shortcuts, and Privacy.
Notifications
Control how and when you receive alerts.
Master Toggle
- Enable/disable all notifications — Turn notifications on or off globally
Notification Options
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Sounds | Play sounds for incoming calls, chats, and other events |
| Desktop notifications | Show system notifications (browser or OS) when CrystalQore is in the background |
Per-Type Settings
Configure notifications for each category:
- Calls — Incoming call alerts
- Chat — New messages and mentions
- Calendar — Meeting reminders and schedule updates
- Presence — Status changes (e.g., when someone comes online)
Audio
Configure microphone, speaker, ringtone, and volume.
Microphone
- Microphone selection — Choose your input device from the dropdown
- Test microphone — Use the test button to verify your mic is working and levels are correct
Speaker
- Speaker selection — Choose your output device (e.g., headphones, speakers)
- Test speaker — Play a test tone to confirm audio output
Ringtone & Volume
- Ringtone — Select a ringtone for incoming calls
- Volume — Adjust overall volume level
Video
Configure camera and video quality for calls and meetings.
Camera
- Camera selection — Choose your webcam from available devices
- Preview — See a live preview to confirm the camera is working and framed correctly
Quality
- Video quality — Choose from 360p, 480p, 720p, or 1080p
Higher resolution uses more bandwidth. Choose 720p or 1080p only if your connection and hardware support it.
Background Blur
- Enable/disable background blur — Blur your background during video calls for privacy or a cleaner look
Display
Customize the look and feel of the interface.
Theme
- Dark — Dark mode
- Light — Light mode
- System — Follow your operating system preference
Accent Color
- Choose from 6 accent color options to personalize the interface
Density
- Compact — Tighter spacing, more content on screen
- Comfortable — Balanced default spacing
- Spacious — More breathing room between elements
Other Display Options
- Animations — Toggle interface animations on or off
- Sidebar collapsed — Start with the sidebar collapsed by default
Keyboard Shortcuts
View and manage keyboard shortcuts. Common shortcuts include:

Privacy
Control what others can see about your activity and status.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Share presence | Allow others to see your online/away/busy status |
| Typing indicator | Show when you're typing in chat (and see when others are typing) |
| Read receipts | Show when you've read messages (and see when others have read yours) |
| Hide notification content | Show notification alerts without revealing message or call details in previews |
Disabling typing indicators or read receipts affects both what you send and what you receive. Others will not see your typing status or read receipts if you turn these off.
Saving Changes
Most settings apply immediately. If a Save or Apply button is present, click it to confirm your changes. Your preferences are stored per account and persist across sessions.
