Email Drafts

Save work-in-progress emails as drafts. Create, edit, and manage drafts across your connected email accounts.

Email Drafts

Drafts let you save emails that aren't ready to send yet. You can come back later to finish composing and send when ready.

How Drafts Work

Drafts are stored per email account. When you save a draft, it appears in the Drafts folder of the account you're composing from. Drafts sync with your email provider — a draft saved in CrystalQore also appears in Gmail, Outlook, or your IMAP client.

Saving a Draft

Drafts are saved when you close the compose window without sending:

  1. Start composing a new email or a reply
  2. Add recipients, subject, and body content as needed
  3. Close the compose dialog without clicking Send
  4. The message is saved as a draft automatically

You can also explicitly save a draft using the save button (if available) in the compose toolbar.

Resuming a Draft

Open the Drafts folder — In the email module, click Drafts in the folder list.

Select the draft — Click the draft message you want to continue editing.

Edit and send — The compose window reopens with your saved content. Make changes and click Send when ready.

Deleting a Draft

If you no longer need a draft:

  1. Open the Drafts folder
  2. Select the draft
  3. Click Delete to remove it

Deleted drafts move to the Trash folder following your email provider's behavior.

Draft Fields

Drafts preserve all compose fields:

FieldSaved
To, Cc, BccYes
SubjectYes
Body (HTML)Yes
AttachmentsDepends on provider

Attachment handling in drafts varies by email provider. Gmail and Outlook typically preserve attachments in drafts. IMAP behavior depends on the server configuration.
